Gearboxes are supplied with the official OE Quality recommended gear oil if purchased, ensuring peak performance from day one.

All fully Reconditioned Gearboxes are sold on an exchange basis. This means we require your old unit to be returned. Once we receive it, we will refund your £300 exchange surcharge.

Return delivery is at your own cost however, we can arrange the collection for £90, which will be deducted from your surcharge refund.

Please Note: All surcharge exchange gearboxes are subject to inspection upon return to assess their condition.

All returned units must be repairable. This means there must be no holes, cracked or damaged casings, or damage that renders the unit beyond economical repair, such as internal components being completely smashed or destroyed.

If a returned gearbox is deemed to be beyond economical repair, only a partial surcharge refund may be issued, or in some cases no refund can be be offered.

This is the PF6 6-speed manual gearbox for the Renault Trafic Mk3 (2014–2020) with the 1.6 dCi engine. The same PF6 6-speed unit is shared with the Vauxhall Vivaro Mk3 and Nissan NV300 (and the Fiat Talento), which we also recondition. Fitment can vary by build date and engine, so please send us your vehicle registration or the code stamped on the casing and we will confirm the exact match before you order. If you don't see your vehicle listed, please get in touch.
The PF6 code is normally printed on a label or stamped into the gearbox casing. If you are unable to locate it, send us your registration number and we will identify the correct unit for you. We specialise in manual gearboxes only, so if your vehicle is automatic please contact us and we will point you in the right direction.
On the Renault Trafic Mk3 the PF6 commonly develops bearing wear, which typically starts as a hum or drone that rises with road speed and can progress to a whine in the higher gears. Worn synchros or a tired linkage can also make the gears harder to select, particularly 5th and 6th. On strip-down we establish the exact cause and rebuild the unit with new bearings, seals and synchros so the fault does not simply return.
No. The gearbox is shipped completely dry. You can add the correct-specification gear oil (we supply Elf Tranself NFX 75W) as an option when you order, or fill the unit with fresh oil to the correct grade and quantity before fitting. Please also drain your old unit fully before it is collected or returned, as couriers apply a £200 surcharge for any oil spillage in transit.
Every fully reconditioned unit carries a 12-month unlimited-mileage warranty on the complete gearbox, provided it is fitted correctly and filled with the correct grade and quantity of fresh oil. Please note the warranty covers the gearbox itself only. It does not cover fitting or labour, clutch or ancillary parts, recovery, vehicle downtime, loss of earnings or any other associated costs.
