Collection, Delivery & Customer Collection Options

  • A £90 fee covers one-way courier collection of your gearbox

  • After collection and inspection, we will quote for repair or reconditioning

  • If you choose not to proceed after receiving the quote, a £90 re-delivery fee will apply

Customers are also welcome to deliver and collect their gearbox in person, free of charge, from our workshop in Darwen, Lancashire.

Shipping Requirements

All gearboxes must be fully drained of oil before shipping.

Couriers apply a £200 surcharge for oil spillages.
RVN Gearboxes Ltd cannot be held responsible for these charges.

That depends on what we find. Our repair service addresses the diagnosed issue only, with no unnecessary replacement of parts. Our full reconditioning service is a complete rebuild with new bearings, seals, synchros and worn internals. Once your gearbox is stripped and assessed we will advise which route is appropriate and quote accordingly.
Often, yes. A notchy or baulky change on the PK4 is typically caused by worn synchros or bearing wear, and sometimes a tired linkage. We diagnose the precise cause on strip-down and replace the affected components, rather than fitting parts that aren't needed. If the wear is limited we can repair it; if it is more extensive we will recommend a full recondition.
Yes. The PK4 6-speed is fitted to the Renault Megane RS Mk3 behind the 2.0 Turbo engine, covering both the 250 and the 265.
