Collection, Delivery & Customer Collection Options

  • A £90 fee covers one-way courier collection of your gearbox

  • After collection and inspection, we will quote for repair or reconditioning

  • If you choose not to proceed after receiving the quote, a £90 re-delivery fee will apply

Customers are also welcome to deliver and collect their gearbox in person, free of charge, from our workshop in Darwen, Lancashire.

Shipping Requirements

All gearboxes must be fully drained of oil before shipping.

Couriers apply a £200 surcharge for oil spillages.
RVN Gearboxes Ltd cannot be held responsible for these charges.

FAQs

A targeted repair carries a 6-month unlimited-mileage warranty covering the specific fault repaired. A full recondition carries a 12-month unlimited-mileage warranty on the rebuilt unit. In both cases the warranty covers the gearbox only and does not extend to fitting, labour, clutch or ancillary parts, recovery, downtime or any other costs.
The £90 fee covers one-way courier collection of your gearbox. Once it reaches us it is fully stripped and assessed, and we then provide a detailed quotation for either a repair or a full recondition. If you choose not to proceed after receiving the quote, a £90 re-delivery fee applies. You are also welcome to deliver and collect in person, free of charge, from our workshop in Darwen. In most cases, yes. On the TL4 those symptoms usually point to worn synchros and bearing wear, which we identify on a full strip-down rather than guessing. Where only a specific fault is present we can carry out a targeted repair; where wear is more widespread we would recommend a full recondition. We advise you either way once the box is assessed.
Yes. The TL4 6-speed is used across the Renault Clio RS Mk3 range behind the 2.0 16V engine, covering both the earlier 197 and the later 200. Send us your registration or the code stamped on the casing and we will confirm your exact unit before any work begins. We work on manual gearboxes only.
